Most international flights arrives in Paris at either Roissy-Charles de Gaulle or Orly Airport. Flying to Montpellier is the easiest way to Aigues-Mortes. There are flights almost every hour from Paris, you shouldn’t have a problem finding one which suites you, Air France is the major carrier and there is also Air Liberté.

Montpellier-Méditerranée Airport (tel :++33 (0)4 67 20 85 00) is located just West of Montpellier which is about 20 km from Big Rubys LOrangerie. There are plenty of taxis on your arrival. The ride takes about 25 minutes and costs 40.

If you are driving from the airport;

you take the direction of “La Grande Motte” and “Le Grau du Roi” (road D62).
Stay on this dual carriageway, you will see the sign for Aigues-Mortes.
As you are arriving, you will come to a roundabout with a Big Flamingo made of metal, here you take the first turn right, (signposted Aigues-Mortes) and you are just a few minutes away from “L’Orangerie”.
As you pass over the canal you drive straight ahead with the ramparts on your right.
pass the first entrance and turn right through the second entrance and you are then in Boulevard Gambetta (a one way street) go straight down and near to the end on the left hand side you will see the arches of L'Orangerie.
you have arrived at the “L’Orangerie”.

Important: Travel Tip – As we recommend for Key West, always pack a small carry-on bag with bathing suit, shorts, T-shirts, toiletries and other essentials so you’ll be able to start your vacation the moment you arrive even if your bags have a little delay.

BY CAR:
Most of the car rental companies operate out of Montpellier-Méditerranée Airport. The drive from the airport to Big Rubys LOrangerie will take about 25 minutes. We recommend you respect the speed limit, it will save you getting a ticket, which is not the best way to start your vacation. Remember to buckle up, it is the law in France and it will costs you 75 if you dont. Enjoy your drive.

If driving from Montpellier centre you take the same direction signs as for the Airport.

If driving from Nîmes :
Take the direction of Montpellier-Barcelona (blue sign A9) on the Autoroute and drive for about 20 km.
Take exit 26, direction Aimargues, Le Grau du Roi, Aigues-Mortes.
As you arrive you pass over the canal and in front of you are the Ramparts.
You take the last left in front of the Ramparts and then the first right through the rampart walls and you will be in Boulevard Gambetta.
Go straight down and towards the end on the left hand side you will see the arches of L'Orangerie.
You have arrived at LOrangerie.

BY TRAIN

You can now get a TGV train direct to Montpellier from Charles De Gaule airport which takes approx 3 hours.

From London (Waterloo Station) to Paris (Gare du Nord) aboard Eurostar
- there is approximately one departure every hour from 5:15 am till 7:53 pm
20 trains a day – the trip takes 3 hours, it is very comfortable and relaxing, and it is the fastest and easiest way to reach Paris. On the French side the train travels at 268 km/ph.

Eurostar now has trains from Waterloo London change at Lille (France ) with a direct train to Nimes.

From Gare du Nord to Gare de Lyon (the train station for Nimes)
- the best way is to take the RER D, direct and quick, just a few minutes but a taxi will take you only 10 minutes for about 12.

The French rail company (SNCF) has recently upgraded a lot of it’s tracks and locomotives, it is very comfortable and relaxing, trains can take as little as 2hr 51 minutes to reach Nîmes Station and there are about 10 direct trains per day. When catching a train to Aigues-Mortes it is quicker and easier to get off at Nîmes station. From Paris city : Trains leave from “la Gare de Lyon”, the underground metro system can take you to this station very easily. From Charles de Gaulle Airport: There is a train station at Charles de Gaulles which is serviced by the same train which leaves from Paris city. Once you’ve arrived at Nîmes station…… There are trains and coaches that depart from Nîmes station 5 times a day, these trips can take up to an hour and half. You will find a taxi stand at Nîmes station but most guests prefer us to organize their transfer, we can a taxi driver wait for you on the platform. Prices range from 48€ to 68€.
